is Major Medical Insurance?
Major Medical Plan
- A plan that provides
comprehensive coverage including, hospital Stays & doctors office visits. Usually a
small co-pay applies to office visits. Calendar year deductibles
and coinsurance clauses apply to hospital stays and/or surgery
benefits. Prescription drugs are covered. Premiums range from
$120 and up for young adults and $60 plus for children. Weight,
Tobacco use and other factors determine the price and
acceptance. Medical underwriting required.

"Underwritten" which means you will be asked medical history
questions are part of the application process. "Pre-Existing"
Conditions or medical conditions you had prior to coverage
beginning will play a role in application being accepted.
